Easter Food Baskets
The Center for Child and Family Achievement in partnership with the Morrisville Presbyterian Church provided 36 Trenton families with Easter Food Baskets on March 20th at the Gregory School. We are grateful for the Deacons and volunteers at MPC who have selflessly partnered with CCFA for over four years providing food baskets, at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, and this past summer “Christmas in July” they donated food baskets. Hunger and food insecurity remains a major barrier to not only quality of life, when a child is hungry it impedes learning. One grandparent raising her grand children stated, “We really needed this!” The Easter Baskets included two bags of groceries, bread, butter, eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables and a large Perdue Oven Stuffer. A single parent gratefully stated, “I work and it’s still hard, I now have Easter Dinner for my family this is a blessing, unbelievable!” Special thanks to MPC Deacons and volunteers.
