Technology Night
CCFA 4th Grade Digital Initiative inspires 14 families to participate in the second Technology Night at the Gregory School on April 11th. Parents and their students, some older cousins and siblings were also on hand to learn about how to utilize “Google ChromeBooks” as an active skills building tool for reading and math skills. The very lively workshop was conducted by Ms. Jacquay, School Technology Specialist, as she walked students and parents through a range of educational websites and skills building tools. Students were eager to show their parents and siblings what they have been learning and discover new exciting websites. A comprehensive list of websites was provided, which will be a great resource during Spring Break when 4th Graders will, for the first time, have ChromeBooks at home. Ms. Harris, School Principal, emphasized the importance of students spending time on their ChromeBooks, doing homework and improving their reading and math skills. Refreshments were provided by the Parent Liaison and families continued to enjoy an evening away from home. What matters most to the Center for Child and Family Achievement is that “families are learning and achieving together” with access to technology in their homes!
