Morrisville Presbyterian Church continues to be first respondents for Families in Trenton helping to End Hunger!
It takes “partnerships of compassion” working together to provide for families facing serious hunger issues during this pandemic! The Center for Child and Family Achievement (CCFA) remains grateful to our network of partners, Morrisville Presbyterian Church who has provided Family Food Baskets at Thanksgiving November 21st, Christmas and Easter since 2015. On December 19th they made it possible for CCFA to distribute food to over 120 families to have essential “Family Food Baskets”, that included fresh vegetables and fruits, eggs, bread, Perdue Oven Stuffer, can goods, enough groceries to last one week. This year our partnership included the Trenton Fire and Emergency Services Department, under the leadership of Acting Director Maziarz, members of locals 206 and 6, volunteered to pickup and help with distributions. A very special Thanks to Yolanda L. Robinson, Coordinator at Mercer Street Friends Center’s Gregory Community School.
One parent shares her gratitude,
”We have been struggling real hard since this virus situation! I mean there times we had to go to friends to get food. This program helps us, I look for it this time of the year. We know that we can count on CCFA to have this food for us! God is making a way!“
Special thanks to all of CCFA’s Food Security Partners; Mercer Street Friends Center for their Meal Bags and Morrisville Presbyterian Church, your generosity makes a difference “one meal at a time” .
