This was the last session in a series of 6 conducted by Rutgers SNAP-Ed Program and Rutgers for the School year October 2021-May 2022, Promoting Healthy Food Choices and Mindful Eating.
On May 11th families gathered for the last in a series of 6 nutrition education and Family cooking classes, “Families Cooking Together“ Mindful Eating conducted by Joan Healy, Rutgers SNAP-Ed at the Gregory School in partnership with CCFA. Over 75 students and parents participated, during the zoom series. Families learned how to make healthy dishes, read recipes, and taste new fruits and vegetables while sharing family traditions and exploring mindful eating practices. Each family received a “food supply bag “ with recipes for each session, a gift cooking item, and free “unique fruits” for kids! Students who attended from CCFA cohort groups earned a $10 Target Gift Card, sponsored by Susan Rhoda- Hansen. Special Thanks, to Ms.Jeanette Harris, Principal Gregory School, Patricia M.
