Morrisville Presbyterian Church Provides 58 Trenton Families with Easter Baskets Distributed by Life Gate Christian Assembly in partnership with the Center for Child and Family Achievement
The Center for Child and Family Achievement recognizes that one of the major challenges for families during this pandemic is food security. Currently most Americans are experiencing economic hardship with the increase of food cost at 30% and gas almost at $5.00 per gallon, the hardest hit are the working poor and chronic improvised. CCFA deeply appreciates our continued impactful partnership with the Deacon Board of Morrisville Presbyterian Church, who made donated two weeks groceries, in the 58 Easter Family Food Baskets distributed by Life Gate Christian Assembly, South Clinton Avenue on April 9th.
In addition to the joyful greetings when we came to get our Easter Baskets, as one parent shared, we were given inspirational literature pointing us to the Gospel! Special Thanks to Pastors Laraine and Morris Bender, volunteers from their church; Christine and Mike Cifellis, Jaime Williams, Brother Arden who was delighted to volunteer on his 80th birthday. Also helping out were Ms. Teia Robertson, CCFA volunteer, Patricia Plante, Parent Liaison Gregory School, Yolanda Wimbley, Parent Liaison Monument School and Victoria Bush, CCFA Volunteer Wilson Homes .where we recruited families to give Easter Baskets.
“On Monday I thought about Easter Dinner, what we would have, I prayed and than got a text that my name was in the list to get a Easter Family Food Basket! That’s the Jesus I love, he makes a way, out of no way!” -grandmother of 5! That says it best.
Thank you to all of our community partners. Special Thanks Morrisville Presbyterian Church and Life Gate Christian Assembly for answering the prayers of these wonderful families.
