CCFA partners with our CCFA volunteer Pamela Bush Allen who volunteers to operate her own community food pantry in West Trenton. Ms. Bush Allen cooked 40 dinners that were given to individuals and families who needed a home-cooked meal on Thanksgiving Day. This act of kindness was not only for homeless persons but also for those too sick to cook and without utilities and food to prepare Thanksgiving Dinner. A very special note of gratitude to Pastors Morris and Laraine Bender of Life Gate Christine Assembly for providing two Wegman’s Thanksgiving Baskets with two Fresh Turkeys and all the traditional trimmings. Thank you, to Ms. Bush Allen for her selfless service to the Trenton Community and her partnership with CCFA. The children volunteering that day to hand out and serve meals are her grandchildren who are participants in CCFA “Lead to Achieve“ and STEM cohorts! Everyone said the dinners were delicious!
