Yolanda L. Robinson, Founder-Executive Director of Living a Powerful Life, LLC is the visionary behind “Take a Child Fishing” held on June 3rd at the Lake in Mercer County Park. Families from Trenton come together to celebrate, pray and learn how to fish. This intergenerational event is the only one of this magnitude, where you will seeing grandparents and great-grandparents, taking the time to enjoy the outdoors, while teaching their family members “the art of fishing”! The day was filled with lots of storytelling, laughs, a wonderful meal and fun activities for children and families to “make new memories together”! It was exciting to actually, see people “catching fish”!

The Center for Child and Family Achievement remains a proud community sponsor of fishing poles for children to call their very own. Take a Child Fishing, embodies CCFA’s core values of “families learning and achieving together” while exploring nature!
